Support measures for accessibility
Tesco takes the following measures to ensure compliance with accessibility requirements:
- Both automated and manual checks are used to detect accessibility issues during design and development.
- Our website is regularly reviewed by third-party accessibility experts based on WCAG 2.2 AA level.
- People with disabilities are involved in user testing.
Compliance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. There are three levels of compliance: A, AA, and AAA.
Tesco’s website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA level. “Partially compliant” means that some parts of the content do not fully meet the accessibility standard.
The Tesco Online Hungary app is currently not compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA level.
The accessibility of our online grocery shopping services has been evaluated through external- and self-assessment.
